Jung companies strive to provide benefits that are of value to our employees. Below you will find a list of the benefit opportunities available to you. Competitive Wages
We adhere to Federal and State minimum wage laws and strive to excel in providing competitive pay above industry standards. An employee may request a performance and wage review at any time in addition to those initiated by the company.
Overtime
Employees are paid at a rate of time and a half for each hour worked over 40 hours in a week. Our pay week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday with direct deposit to your bank account as early as the following Tuesday but no later than the following Friday.
Season Bonuses for Non-Tipped Employees
Non-tipped back of the house employees receive a $1.00 bonus for every hour worked if they remain in employment for the entire season. These bonus checks are distributed on the Tuesday after Labor Day and can be upwards of $1500.
Employee Uniforms
Employees are given a 100% discount on two work shirts prior to their first shift. Kitchen employees receive a new shirt at the beginning of the season every year after.
Discounted Food
Employees receive a 40% discount on most menu items on any day they are working.
Discounted Gift Shop Items
Employees receive a 20% discount on all gift shop items. We ask you to limit your discount to items for your own personal use, as we do not extend this discount to friends or for items you wish to give to another.
Employee to employee incentive program (FISH)
Jolly Rogers is a fun and supportive place to work partly due to our FISH program. Employees can recognize each other for positive attitudes and work well done. Drawings are held every week for those participating and receiving recognition. Prizes include cash, upfront parking passes, gift shop items and more!
NFT Employee Party
NFT (Not for Tourists) day has traditionally marked the end of the tourist season here at the Lake of the Ozarks. Jolly Rogers closes for the entire day, and we all celebrate with drinks, food, and fun on the lake so that you can act like a tourist! Recognition, prizes, and bonuses are awarded.
Employee Seasonal Savings Account
Due to the seasonal and contractual dependency of work available in our industries the company provides a savings option for employees to withhold a portion of their pay toward off-season and layoff months. An employee may withhold any dollar amount from each paycheck to be set aside on their behalf. Since this is a budgeting tool, monies withheld can only be taken once per year or upon termination and is not an interest-bearing account.
Interest Free Emergency Loans
We strive to educate our employees regarding the deteriorating financial implications of pay day and other high interest loans. If you find you are in emergency need of money for basic living expenses, please speak directly to Joe or Christie regarding a short-term interest free loan. These awards are agreed to on a case-to-case basis. Repayment is deducted from future pay and is limited to an average amount of the employee’s pay received within one work week.
401k and Roth Option Retirement Plan
Jolly Rogers Enterprises, LLC Retirement Plan allows eligible employees to hold up to 20% of their pre-tax pay toward their retirement. The company deposits 3% of each eligible employee’s annual wages into their account whether the employee chooses to withhold or not. Contributions are 100% vested. The plan also includes a Roth option that allows the employee to withhold after tax contributions. Eligibility requires one year of service and 1000 service hours within a 12-month period based on the employee’s anniversary date. A summary plan description is available.
Health & Dental Care Insurance
Group Health Insurance is provided to full-time employees who meet one year of service and complete 2,080 service hours within a 12-month period based on the employee’s anniversary date. A summary plan description is available.
Tenure Bonuses
We provide recognition and monetary bonuses to tenured employees at 5, 10-, 15-, 20- and 25-year anniversaries.
Tenure Vacations
A weeklong vacation trip is planned each year for employees who have achieved their 10-year anniversary. Ask anyone who has attended - these trips are too fun to miss!
